The Project

My work at Walgreens was focussed on adding a new feature to the photo section of their mobile app.

Before this project, photo books could only be made on the desktop version of the Walgreens website. This project was also a test run of customer interest in creating these books from their phone. One of the new features I designed was the use of gestures to edit the zoom and crop on photos within a preview mode. This allows users to interact directly with the photo and get a real-time sense of what the finished product will look like.

My role also included meeting with project stakeholders within the company, presenting ideas and solutions to management, creating wireframes and documentation, and supervising the UI designer on the project. I also worked closely with the development team to create a working prototype so that the new features and gestures could be user tested before being finalized.
